I’ve managed to get one more firing in before it’s just too hot to fire the kiln until the fall. (okay, it was too hot to fire the kiln, but I had some plates I wanted to get done). This is one of my bike plates.
The rain has quit and the Car Show in the Park is in full swing. This year’s show has added a lot more Corvettes as well as some new restorations and of course, a vendor’s market. The rain was forecast to be heavy today but it seems to have missed us, for now anyway.
This is a great venue for a car show and market, especially when the weather cooperated and the sun comes out. Sunny, warm weather and cool cars are a great combination for a June weekend, just no sun today. This is the first time they have added a vendor’s market so things are a little slow.
I’ve spent the morning ‘trying’ to clean my pottery room with some success, but a long way to go yet. I was sorting through some shelves of ‘old’ pottery that I’ve kept for many years. I found the 2 wine glasses on the left, and laughed when I compared them to the size of the ones I make now. The 2 ‘old’ ones are now in my cupboard for drinking port or maybe ice wine.
