Getting Ready To Fire

Today is cool and rainy so it is a good day to start glazing and filling the new kiln.

Just thought I’d throw in a couple of pics of my flower garden taken this week.

The bisque firing went off without a hitch and took about the same time as using my old kiln, but it wasn’t close to being full. So today I am glazing and then we will see if I have enough to fill it. This kiln is about triple the interior volume of my previous kiln (Skutt 1027) so it will be interesting to see how much fits.

Fingers crossed that everything works, but have a couple of sets of Pyrometric cones to verify the temperature accuracy of the Kilnmaster controller.
